Jewson's in Largs have moved to quash rumours that they are being converted into a Marks and Spencers food store.
Writing a message on the Largs and Millport News Facebook page, Branch manager William Rodger gave some clarity to Jewson's position after rumours had been circulating on social media facebook pages in Largs about the future of the depot.
William said: "I have been hearing all sorts of rumours of M&S or Lidl taking over our premises, well I would just like to confirm that this is definitely not the case. Many thanks."
At present, The Toy Station shop is closed in Largs Main Street and the shop is currently up for lease, and rumours have also been circulating that The Royal Oak pub in Boyd Street, Largs, could be converted into a tapas bar, however the owners were unavailable for comment.
