Roads bosses have announced that an additional night of roadworks will be needed on the A78 to the north of Largs this weekend.
The essential maintenance will take place in Wemyss Bay from 8pm on Sunday, December 3 until 6am on Monday, December 4.
An Amey spokesperson said: "Please be advised that one additional night of works will be required to complete the carriageway maintenance on the A78 Wemyss Bay/North of Largs, from 8pm on Sunday 3rd December until 6am on Monday 4th December 2023.
"This work will be undertaken through the use of an overnight convoy.
"We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause."
Amey previously carried out work at the same location between November 24 and 29 on behalf of Transport Scotland.
The firm says the work will benefit around 11,700 vehicles using the road each day.
