Largs music fans rocked around the clock as they were treated to a day of live music for a hugely important cause at the weekend.

Room bar and restaurant in Largs hosted another successful fundraiser for charity SAMH (Scottish Association For Mental Health) to raise important funds for mental health support in Scotland.

The Gallowgate Square venue once more hosted eight acts over 10 hours on two stages on Sunday, January 14, from 2pm to 10pm.

The musical acts featured the very best of local talent, varying in style from indie to rock and pop.

The event also had a family focus with face painting fun for the kids.

All money taken from the purchase of street food were also donated by Room to SAMH.

Suzanne Fairlie, who sadly lost her husband in 2018, arranged the first music day for SAMH in 2019 and since then has raised thousands of pounds for the charity.

She said: "SAMH is a charity very close to my family. It is a privilege to raise money for such an important cause that highlights mental health issues affecting families not only from Largs, but all over Scotland.

"What a fantastic day and night at Room restaurant.

"Thank you to Stephen McDonald for the use of Room and also donating takings from the sale of street food. Thank you also to all staff who all worked so hard.

"How lucky are we to have such amazing local talented musicians who gave up their Sunday for the charity.

"Thank you to Rowan McIntyre photographer for such fabulous photos and Peter Paterson for doing the sound as well as performing, he did a brilliant job.

"Thank you to Gary McIntyre, from Emberfall, and to Jo Griffin for doing the face painting. There were lots of happy children with painted faces.

"Thank you to  The Three Reasons, The Fish Works, Couture Hair in West Kilbride and also to family and friends who donated to the raffle."

The impressive line-up on the day included Papa Booch and the Amigos, Howie Six, Spiders, Aaron & Chloe, Ember Fall, Andy K and Blackwater.
