A SERIES of spring beach cleans have been planned on the Isle of Cumbrae.
Two beach cleans have been organised to prepare the shores of the island ahead of Easter.
The Kames Beach clean will be on Wednesday, March 20 at 5pm, and a similar event will take place at the Newton Beach at 5pm on Wednesday, March 27.
Organisers say it's been confirmed that there will be access to both the Kames and Newton beaches during the ongoing flood defence works.
Participants are asked to meet at the shelters on each beach at the event where they will be provided with pickers, gloves and bags.
Both clean-ups are subject to cancellation depending on the weather on the day of the events.
