The usual Largs-Cumbrae ferry is set to be out of action for several days while repairs are carried out.
The service has been disrupted since Friday, March 8 due to issues with the vessel's forward ramp, which is forcing vehicles to reverse on and off, increasing loading times.
Caledonian MacBrayne says the Loch Shira will operate until around 1.30pm on Tuesday, before heading for repairs at James Watt Dock in Greenock.
The MV Isle of Cumbrae will then take over the route until the Loch Shira returns, with repairs to the larger vessel expected to last for several days.
CalMac has urged heavy vehicle traffic to return to Largs from the island prior to the last MV Loch Shira sailing, with the Isle of Cumbrae only having a maximum weight limit of 36 tonnes.
