A motorist has been reported to the procurator fiscal in connection with driving under the influence of drugs in Largs.
The incident happened earlier this month in New Street where a detection was made by patrolling officers.
The matter was contained within the monthly report to Largs Community Council from Police Scotland, with the incident occurring on March 2.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police officers carry out enforcement on Scotland’s roads every day and work with key partners to support improvements around road safety.
"Drink and drug driving are known contributory factors in serious injury and fatal collisions."
