In this week's delve into the archive, we head back 37 years ago to a glorious pictures of youngsters visiting a farm and making a new friend with a lamb.
La Isla Bonita by Madonna and With or WIthout You were both getting regular airplay on the radio, while big movies of the period included Flight of the Navigator and Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home.
There was certainly some animal magic in store for the pupils of Fairlie Primary as they visited Blackshaw Farm Park.
The picture includes plenty of recognisable local faces including Natalie McAlindon, Anne Hutchison and Louise Hutchison with Douglas Tyler in the background.
Badminton has always been a popular sport in Largs and the picture above shows community awards being given out for some top shuttle service by these youngsters. Do you recognise them?
And this primary school photo from Largs will also spark a lot of memories with plenty of well-kent faces.
The very active Largs Junior Chamber, which carried out regular fundraising throughout the year, was also pictured in the paper, with well known local milkman Willie Brown and the late Jim Duncan, one of the directors of the popular Hasties shop, to the forefront.
Libraries throughout the district were snowed under with decorated eggs over Easter time with prizegiving held at Largs Library.
