As part of Largs Regatta Week at the Largs Yacht Haven from 26 August to 4 September, Firth of Clyde Coastal Rowing Club will be holding their annual rowing regatta on Saturday 3 September.
The event will be based at the championship slip to the right hand side of the road as you enter the Marina going over the railway line.
The St Ayles skiffs, built by local communities and used for social rowing and racing, will be brought by clubs from the local west coast area, Greenock down to Carrick, Cumbrae and some from the east coast to compete against each other off the shoreline at the Pencil.
The course will be off the Pencil monument north towards Cairnies Quay, view these keenly contested races from shoreline points along the promenade, at the Pencil, the island at Sandy bay, and along the Broomfields towards and at Cairnies Quay. Racing will be throughout the day from 11am to 4.30pm
